Mentors Matter: Building Stronger Futures

Every child deserves someone who shows up for them—someone who listens, encourages, and believes in their potential. But for many children being raised by single mothers, consistent access to a positive male role model is often missing. That’s where Single Mom Strong’s Men’s Mentoring Program comes in.

This program is more than just mentorship—it's about connection, consistency, and community. We pair children of single mothers with carefully selected, trained, and supported male mentors who commit to building meaningful, one-on-one relationships throughout the school year. Through monthly group sessions filled with conversation, learning, and laughter, our mentors show up not as replacements for fathers, but as trusted guides and positive examples of healthy masculinity.

Children in our program are given something invaluable: a safe space with a caring male role model who chooses to be there for them—month after month. This consistency helps build self-esteem, social skills, and a vision for what’s possible in life. For many of these kids, it’s the first time they’ve had someone say, “I see you. I believe in you.”

And for single moms, this support is a breath of relief. They already carry so much, and knowing their children have a trusted male mentor gives them peace of mind—and their children a broader foundation of love and guidance.

Here’s what your donation makes possible:

• $20 covers one month of programming for a mentee.

• $300 covers program costs all kids for a month.
