This Big Day of Giving, I’m asking for your help in raising $4,500 to purchase 100 pairs of running shoes for kids in our Runnin’ for Rhett Youth Fitness Program.
I’ve been part of this amazing organization since 2013, and this year marks my first as Executive Director—a role that has been both humbling and inspiring. What drew me to Runnin’ for Rhett all those years ago is still what fuels me today: the power of movement, community, and purpose.
What makes this year especially meaningful is that I was able to bring our program to my own children’s school for the very first time. Watching my three kids run alongside their classmates, feeling proud, strong, and supported, has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. And the outpouring of support from the school and families has been incredible—it’s clear that this program is making a difference.
One of the most tangible and beautiful things we do is give each child in our program a brand-new pair of running shoes. Since we launched our shoe program in 2019, we’ve gifted over 6,000 pairs to kids who might not otherwise have access to high-quality athletic shoes.
Let me tell you—putting shoes on kids is magical. The way their faces light up, the pride in their stride, the boost in their confidence—it’s not just about running. It’s about belonging, achieving, and believing in themselves.
This year, I want to make sure 100 more kids get that same chance. Every $45 donation gets one child a new pair of shoes. Together, we can hit our $4,500 goal and lace up another group of future runners, dreamers, and achievers.
Thank you for supporting Runnin’ for Rhett, for helping us more kids MOVE INTO LIFE, and for being part of something truly special.
