My name is Randy, and I am here because of my son, Rhett.

Rhett was born with cerebral palsy. He was full of light, laughter, and love — but he could never walk or run. In March 2004, we lost our Rhett at just 7 years old. And while my heart broke that day, something else happened.

Following in his mom's (Beth) footsteps, I laced up my shoes and started to run— for him.

Since then, I’ve made it my mission to keep Rhett’s spirit alive by helping other kids move in ways Rhett couldn’t. That’s how Runnin’ for Rhett was born. Through our youth fitness program, we’ve helped thousands of kids in under-resourced communities discover the joy of movement, the strength in perseverance, and the pride of crossing a finish line.

Children in our program get something special: Their very own brand-new pair of running shoes.

For many of these kids, it’s the first pair they’ve ever owned. And let me tell you — their faces light up. It’s not just about the shoes. It’s about confidence. It’s about being seen. It’s about someone believing in them.

That’s why I’m asking for your help.

On May 1st — Big Day of Giving — I’m at it again. Not just for Rhett, but for every child who deserves that same feeling of hope and support.

Can you help me? Will you donate to my fundraiser and help us provide free fitness programs and new shoes for more kids?

Your gift truly makes a difference. You’re not just helping me — you’re helping hundreds of kids take their very first steps.

Thank you for supporting me—for Rhett, for our kids, for something bigger than all of us.
