The Disaster Case Management Program is comprised of a well - respected and qualified team providing long-term support for our neighbors affected by disasters, guiding them through the process of rebuilding their lives. In February, our team closed its final case from the Butte fire which started in 2018. Our team has been rehousing and rebuilding lives from the Northern California fires since 2014.
Partnering with Catholic Charites to cover FEMA grants for disasters in our council’s area. St. Vincent de Paul was chosen by Catholic Charities to help our neighbors recover from the 2022-2023 Sacramento and Amador floods. We have a hardworking, dedicated, professional and successful team.
Our disaster relief program responds to disasters such as floods, wildfires, tornadoes, and other events locally in Northern California. We train Teams as well as individual Vincentians to compassionately serve victims of disasters and Provide Disaster Case Managers to walk with victims.
