Dave Fox - Runnin' for Rhett Shoes for Kids!

I’m the Board Chair of the Runnin’ for Rhett, a non-profit that provides a FREE after-school fitness program to thousands of children in over 70 Sacramento-area schools, where we train them to run in a 5k race free of charge. We aim to inspire our kids to get outside and move into life. This past weekend, we had our spring race, Run Because You Can, and the joy and sense of accomplishment felt by the kids was life-affirming.

But we can’t get these kids to the starting line without your help! Many of the kids in our program come from underserved areas and come to our program without adequate shoes to run in. For Sacramento’s Big Day of Giving, we raise money get our kids new running shoes so they can train, run, and race with confidence.

For just $35, you can put a pair of shoes on the feet of one of our kids and help them cross that finish line. This year, I’ve set a goal of buying 35 pairs of shoes, but I need your help to get there. Please consider donating  – any amount is welcome.
